Daffodil or Buttercup?

Daffodils are one of the first perennial flowers to pop up each February. Many people call them buttercups, but they are two different flowers entirely. Daffodils (genus Narcissus) grow from bulbs and Buttercups (genus Ranunculus) grow from roots. Regardless of what you call them, they spring up when we still have several weeks of winter left and give us a brief hopeful glimpse of the spring to come! They’ve got us thinking about the flower varieties we are starting from seed now to have available for you this summer.

“Growers of Family Traditions”

That’s what we strive to be here at Holiday Acres Farm. For the last 20 years (my, how the time flies!) we have provided a space for families to get outdoors and make memories with one another down on the farm without the distractions of day-to-day life. The farm is a beautiful place where fun and learning collide, and is the perfect spot to cultivate happy memories for your family.
